Hi Y’all! I decided to do an entirely separate post about my most favorite part of any festivity – the fashion! I know this is most likely going to be a quarantine Eid, but I’m determined to make the most of it! My husband & I have every intention of decorating my home, preparing a nice meal &, most importantly, getting dressed. It’s the least everyone can do for themselves, & we all deserve to feel a little holiday joy in any way we can! So many of our favorite designers have managed to roll out some fabulous capsule collections for Eid & I’m so excited to share my favorites with you guys!
My first new favorite is Rozina Munib! Her vibrant, feathered, peacock inspired colorblock suits have gone viral recently & I’m honestly so tempted. She toes the line between trendy & traditional in the most perfect way, & I can’t wait to have several of her pieces in my closet! She recently launched her traditional Eid collection & it’s stunning. It consists of classic Kurta Shalwar silhouettes, but with clean lines & a very current color story. Her price range is affordable as well – most of her outfits range from $150-300. Her aesthetic gives me Faiza Saqlain vibes, but simpler.
Speaking of Faiza Saqlain, she’s become a total household name & we love an icon from Lahore! I feel like her come up all started when Maya Ali wore the iconic green & gold Peshwas – Faiza’s designs started popping up on everyone from girls at local weddings, to the iconic Hocane sisters. I’m completely enamored with Faiza’s collections; there’s something purely Pakistani about her silhouettes & fabric choices that reminds me of vintage pieces we would borrow from our mothers’ closets! She’s actually dropping a spring festive collection tomorrow called Masha, & it’s the sorbet hued Punjabi summer wedding collection of our dreams! With three piece outfits starting from $211, there are definitely options on the Faiza Saqlain website! They also have menswear – I ordered an outfit for my husband for Eid & I’m crossing my fingers it arrives on time for Eid!
Another favorite right now is Shiza Hassan. YALL! Her unstitched formal collection is SO AFFORDABLE! I’m talking proper lengha for $250. I’ve been eyeing her brand for a while now, & I finally committed to two proper, heavy outfits! I’ll be sure to do an unboxing when they arrive! Her RTW collection ranges from $275 & up, which is a bit steep, but I completely recommend her luxury unstitched collection. What really sold me on her unstitched pieces is that there IS the option to have their team stitch the outfits based on a standard size chart, at an additional cost. Most of the unstitched outfits remain under $200 even after stitching, so I was sold & am totally ready for fall/winter wedding season!
So now I’m going to dig into some of our favorites. Tried & true. Brands we all know & have depended on. The one’s we’ve sent a WhatsApp message to 8 weeks before our sister in law’s wedding, only for the outfit to arrive in just enough time to have it altered locally haha!
First things first – Houston, Texas based Mumu Mandarin has come through for me at the last minute SO. MANY. TIMES. They’re a luxury Pakistani wear rental service, that serves the US. I first came to know about them in 2018 when they first launched & I’ve been hooked ever since. Zehra, the owner, is an awesome person & has always been someone I can count on when I’ve been in a bind. I know that when I drop by their showroom, I’ll be able to find something elegant, high quality & luxurious to wear. They carry all of our favorites – from a simple Suffuse outfit, to almost full on Republic bridal style gowns, there’s an option for every girl & every occasion! Become a member & receive a discount & have access to member exclusive options!
I have to give a shoutout to Suffuse. Suffuse is the brand I ordered from 8 weeks before my sister in law’s wedding & they CAME THROUGH! They’re having a sale at the moment, & there are still quite a few options available on their website. I may have indulged in their sale, but who knows! I’ve worn many Suffuse dresses for many occasions, from weddings to holidays & I’ve never had a single complaint about their quality. I messaged them regarding their current shipping procedures & they’re definitely delivering in time for Eid!
Of course, I have to include Republic. Republic has been historically good to me, & their pieces keep getting better & better. Their prices are shockingly affordable, & their quality has never disappointed! I don’t think they’re planning to release an Eid collection, but there are SEVERAL options available for under $200 on their site at the moment that are stitched to standard sizes as ready to wear outfits. I love everything about Republic, from their bridals, to their formals, to their ready to wear. My closet is full of Republic ready to wear & I’m ready for it to be safe to have parties again so I can wear them!
Lastly, everyone’s FAVE Elan is having a sale! I love when Elan has sales, solely because that’s usually the only time I can justify splurging on their pieces! I’ve worn an Elan outfit before, & they’re well made. Their ready to wear includes luxury pret, lawn, & luxury formals. There’s currently a really healthy selection of both ready to wear & unstitched styles available online. I also messaged the folks over at Elan a few days ago, & they’re offering delivery by Eid, but I’m not sure what the cutoff date is. They can be contacted via Instagram DM, WhatsApp or email. I’ve always had positive experiences with wearing Elan, & I’m really excited to show y’all what I ordered from them this time!
I hope everyone enjoys their Eid to the best of their ability! It may not be what we all were expecting, but stay safe & stay in quarantine. Enjoy the holiday from the safety of your own home & make the absolute best of it. Cook a beautiful Eid brunch, order your Eid morning Starbucks & donuts on Doordash, take your #ootd of your beautiful Eid clothes in the back yard – I know we can all make it work!
