Hi y’all!
I hope everyone has been staying safe & healthy indoors during Quarantine! I know this is a time full of uncertainty & confusion, but we have to continue to stay home & be cautious!
That being said, it’s been about a month into isolation & counting – for some of us that means spending much of Ramadan, & quite possibly even Eid, at home away from friends & family. However! I’m determined to make the best of a super unusual situation, & I’m going to enjoy the holidays as best as I can!
I put together a little quarantine friendly Eid guide for yall, so we can all enjoy our holiday from the safety of our homes. Thank goodness we live in an era of so much community connectivity; between video calls & social media, it’s easier than ever to stay close to your loved ones from afar! We can all still celebrate together, without harm. Of course it’s not the same thing. Nothing beats a high calorie Ramadan, filled with iftars with friends & family, & I love a fresh donut at the masjid on Eid morning, but we’re a strong community & we will make it work!
Let’s start with decorations! There are SO MANY options in this day & age, & I’m so excited about how inclusive people are becoming towards our holidays. Since we’re all staying home, I’ve found so many amazing decor options on Amazon to help us all get into a festive spirit, & all of the items below are some of my faves! All of the images are shoppable links for y’all’s convenience.
How cute is this Ramadan Mubarak banner!
It comes pre assembled & is super simple & affordable! Perfect for hanging behind your dining table, or over a fireplace, or even to use as a “photobooth” backdrop for group FaceTime calls!
I’m also living for festive tabletop decor. I found this adorable crescent moon & star serving tray, & ordered it for our home. It’s the cutest & I can’t wait until it arrives. I know we’ll get tons of use out of it all year round!
Speaking of tabletop, I found these adorable Ramadan Mubarak plates & I think we all need them. They’re so modern & chic!
For Eid day, I found some super festive items too!
Loving these sparkly little cupcake toppers – or mithai toppers! Get creative yall, we love a traditional dessert with a modern twist!
There’s also this fabulous, full party pack from Party City via Amazon! It’s great for households with multiple families, or with children. It has paper dining service for 16 people & includes a variety of decor!
This is my favorite decor item for sure – this sparkly, magical balloon garland is sure to make us all feel like we’re having a proper holiday! It’s so extra, but so are all of us who are having quarantine Eid’s so why not. I’m totally obsessed & have already ordered this for my own home!
Lastly, it wouldn’t be an old school Eid without lights. I think these star shaped lanterns are the sweetest, & can be used for other parties as well. They’re stunning in white & I would honestly use them as regular home decor.
These are just a few of my favorite Amazon picks, & honestly there’s so much online to choose from! I’ll definitely share my own photos as my holiday decor arrives & starts to come together. In the mean time, let me know how you guys are preparing your homes & what your traditions are!
Happy holidays!
